Another unidentified corpse, this time a female has been found in Bamenda barely eight days after two were found in Mile 8 Mankon. This time the corpse was found in the South East of Bamenda, at the New Road-Nkwen.
The corpse was found by civilians who immediately alerted the forces of law and order. Investigation to identified the corpse and possible cause of death as been opened by the security services.
Speculations are that the woman believed to be in her twenties was a victim of the unrest reported around the that part of town on Monday January 15.
Some residents around the New Road said armed men stormed the area on Monday to enforce observance of the Monday ghost town. They set ablaze a car, a bike and some furniture before being confronted by security forces pushing them to retreat into their hide out.
It was on Monday January 9, 2024 that two corpse which are yet to be identified up to now we’re discovered In a locality, north of Bamenda, around Mile 8, Mankon, not far from the Bamenda airport.
