Bamenda on May 20th, joined the rest of the country in activities commemorating the 52nd edition of the National Day.
Activities at the Commercial Avenue was presided over by NW Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique. This included a military and civilian march pass.
Various medals of merit were awarded to some deserving cameroonians including the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bamenda Prof. Theresia Nkuo, HRH Fon Afunchwi of Bamboli and the Regional Delegate for communication for the Northwest, Mr. Njike Celestine.
The 2024 unity celebration in Bamenda witnessed a higher turn out compared to the previous edition since the start of the anglophone crisis in 2016.
