The SDF Presidential hopeful, Hon. Joshua Osih has deposited his file to run for the presidency in the October 12 presidential elections.
Accompanied by National Executive Committee members, regional and district officials and militants of the party, the SDF chair officially handed over his file and after due scrutiny by regional ELECAM officials was handed his receipt of proof of deposition.
Depositing the file in Bamenda Hon. Joshua Saïd he “was nominated by the Social Democratic Front to be candidate at the 12 of October 2025 presidential election of Cameroon.”
The choice of Bamenda he added is very important because ” we have a political identity and this identity takes us to our root and the headquarter of the Social Democratic Front is base here in Bamenda and there is no other place we could have gone to deposit the file of the next president of Cameroon”
Bon. Joshua Osih after the process called on the militants and sympathisers of the SDF to continue to fight together and win together.
This is the second time Hon. Joshua Osih is running for thé top job. Hé first ran in 2018 where his party garnered 3.36% of the national vote.
Hon. Joshua joins the incumbent Paul Biya oF the CPDM whose party’s secretary General Jean Nkuete deposited his file in Yaounde on the same day.
Five other candidates have already deposited their files to run in the polls, Maurice Kamto (MRC), Isa Tchiroma Bakary (FNSC), Bello Bouba (UNDP), Akere Muna Tabeng (UNIVERS) and Eric Essono, an independent candidate.
