HRM Fon Fru Asah Angwafo IV of Mankon have been donated a brand new Toyota Prado (2024 edition) by the sons and daughters and friends of Mankon Fondom.
He was presented the car at the esplanade of the fon’s palace on Saturday June 6, 2016 alongside the car registration documents and insurance certificate.
HRM Fon Fru Asah Angwafo IV expressed joy and surprise by his sons and daughters describing it as “the first in the history of its kind” to contribute and buy a vehicle of this magnitude. He described it as a payback for “the good things his father had done for the community”.
Fon Angwafo said it’s a reminder to him that the people need him to go places for their sake. He encouraged his sons and daughters to keep working together for the development of the village. He added that the community needs more in terms of development to grow.
In attendance were a cross section of the elites,, traditional authorities, men, women and youths of Mankon Fondom.
The occasion also presented an opportunity for Mankon United Football Club to officially present to the Fon, the 2025 Mezam Divisional League Champion trophy to the community
