Weeks of thrilling football in the Baba 1 village in the Ngoketunjia Division, came to an End on Wednesday September 03, 2025, when KUNCUDA FC defeated Junglers FC 3#2 in post match penalties, to lift the 2025 Edition of the Honorable Njingum Musa Mbutoh’s sponsored peace and Unity Tournament.
The competition that featured 10 teams, brought together all the Youths of Baba 1 village during the summer holiday period, as they competed for the coveted price.

An entertaining final of Wednesday, ended one goal on either side at the end of regulation time, forcing the game to proceed to post match penalty shootout, as KUNCUDA edge Junglers FC 3#2, to lift the trophy.

The competition which is coordinated by the Cameroon National Youths council president for the Ngoketunjia Mr Ngafue Marcel and sponsored by the Questor at the National Assembly Honorable Njingum Musa, is aimed at fostering peace and Unity amongst Youths in the Ngoketunjia Division. Similar competitions have also taken place in the other villages in the Ngoketunjia Division, such as Bangolan, Babessi, Babungo, Bamunka, Bamali, Bamessing, Bambalang, Bafanji, Bamunkumbit, Balikumbat, Baligashu, and Balinganshin.
“Sports is a very strong factor that can be used to bring peace and Unity amongst the people because once the Youths are United, there’s going to be peace in that area. As these football activities are going on, it will go a long way to change the mindset of the people of the Division, to know that we have a challenge and the challenge is for us to be peaceful and love one another,” Honorable Njingum Musa told City FM two weeks ago at the start of this competition.
“I’m trying to see that all the villages in the Ngoketunjia Division, are involved in sports competitions. The social exchange and coming together during these events, is the most important part, because it makes them forget about evil things or anything that can distabililize them or distract them from the progress of the Division,” Honorable Njingum Musa added.
In the days ahead, organizers of the Njingum Musa peace and Unity Tournaments across the Ngoketunjia Division, are envisaging the Divisional finals that will involve all the winners from each village.
