
The 2024-2025 North West Regional football league will enter its mini interpools phase this Saturday July 19, as eight clubs will fight for who to emerge champions.
Out of the 21 clubs that took part in this year’s North West Regional league, Mankon United, All Stars, Dream Team, Vision Sports, Options Sports Academy, Rockland FC, Hilltop Strikers and My Soccer Center, distinguished themselves throughout the championship, and are now in the quarter finals.
How they performed this season
Defending champions Options Sports Academy, finished top of Group C with 19 points after eight games played. Coach Adamu Danladi and his boys won six, drew one and suffered just one defeat, in a group that had the likes of Achico FA, Nkwen FC and family warriors. The team also scored a whooping 24 goals and conceded just four.

Another Group C team, Rockland FC of Belo, will be in their second consecutive Mini interpools, after finishing group runners up with 15 points.
A star studded Dream Team FC, dominated Group A, as they finished the regular phase of the league with 21 points. A team that boast Elite experience with the likes Richard Ebongue, Billy Samin, Njiberu Durrel and Acha Aristee, won six, drew three and suffered one defeat in a group that exceptionally had six teams.
Vision Sports’ five wins, three draws and two defeats, were enough to secure them a second place finish behind Dream Team, as they outsmarted Rangers FC, SIMAF FA and Bafut United, to reach the mini interpools.
Mankon United finished top of Group B with 18 points, synonymous to five wins, and three draws, one of the only two unbeaten teams in the league this far. The surprise package in Group B, was All Stars FA, who overpowered the likes of Rainbow FC and Abakwa Boys, to qualify for their first ever mini interpools, with 13 points.
Group D produced the highest point tally in the regular phase of the league, as Hilltop Strikers FA topped the group with 22 points, winning seven of their eight games, and recording one draw. An unbeaten run, which was completed by a good defensive record of just one goal conceded, the best defense in the league.

My Soccer Center took the league by surprise, as edge Nso United to the second spot in Group D, with 14 points (04 wins, 02 draws, 02 defeats).
The Fixtures
The quarter final matches of the North West Regional mini interpools will be played on the home and away bases. Matches on Saturday July 19, will see Dream Team FC take on Rockland FC as from 1pm, while Mankon United will host My Soccer Center as from 3pm. All games will be played at the University of Bamenda field.

On Sunday July 20, Options Sports Academy will host Vision Sports as from 1pm, while Hilltop Strikers FA, will clash with All Stars FA as from 3pm.
The winners at the end of both legs of the quarter final, will progress to the Semi-finals, as they North West Region looks to produce their regional champions. The winner of the North West Regional league will represent the region at the National interpools.
So far, Epervier Sportif from the South Regio, Kumba city FC from the South West Region and Sable of Batie from the West Region, have already booked their spots for the National interpools.
