Prime International Award has recognised Edison Fru Ndi, promoter of Dreamland Holdings Company as “N.W Best Most Resilient Economic Operator”.
The award was belatedly handed over to him in Bamenda recently by Mokom Thomas, journalist and presenter at Ndefcam Radio Bamenda in the presence of the Northwest Bureau chief of My Media Prime, Charles Kebua.
Kebua explained that SR. Edison Fru Ndi could not make it to Douala on July 3, 2025 for the International Award due to other committments, reason why the Award Committee decided that it be handed over to him in Bamenda.
He said that the award is in recognition for the exceptional resilience shown by Sr. Edison Fru Ndi tocontinue operating businesses, employ many Cameroonians and stimulate the economy of the region in the face of numerous challenges in the pose by the crisis. Many other operators have simply pick es up their bags and left for other secure regions he concluded.
Accepting the Award Edison Fru Ndi expressed his surprise “I was just doing the things I do best, giving back to the community that has made me what I am today” he said.
“It’s rather unfortunate that many media groups have recognized what I do for the society but the government has never” he added.
But the award despite all he continued will energize him to work harder towards his community which has given him so much.
Speaking with so much emotions, he dedicated the award to his workers. ” The other day you heard guns were fired, but it didn’t stop my workers from coming to work. They go to work while I sleep at home with my family” he appreciated the workers, adding he will “always do the best he could to protect them”
The Prime International Press Award for champions in Development 2024/2025 was awarded to Edison Fru Ndi after a random survey carried out by professional national and international journalists drawn from renown media houses across the world and Cameroon. The award committee was chaired by Zung Frederick and Directed by Sone B Frankline.
