Bang Bullet FC of Nkambe has beaten Options Sports Academy 1#0, in the first leg semi-final of the North West Regional Football League(NWRL).
In the game played at the Bamenda University Stadium on Wednesday, the Messiah boys claim all three points, following a late winner from forward Julian Pius.
A tightly contested game in the first half, saw both Goalkeepers Eugene Mbunwe and Emmanuel Tah of Bang Bullet and Options Sports respectively pulling clinical saves to ensure that both teams returned to the change room tight zero all at pause.
In their quest to reaching their second consecutive regional league final, Bang Bullet needed a moment of inspiration from their star forward Julian Pius, who netted the lone goal of the game at the 76th minute. A narrow win which means Bang Bullet takes a one goal advantage to the return leg on Sunday.
In the second semi-final game, Rockland FC of Belo were held to a zero all tie by Rainbow FC of Bamenda. Both sides were guilty of squandering clear-cut scoring opportunities, and now have all to play when they meet again on Sunday in the return game.
