One person was killed and another severely injured today in Bambui, Tubah Subdivision.
Confirmed report reaching City Web, a recently appointed Manager of Moghamo Travel Agency, Bamenda Branch by name Abdu was shot around Mile IX Tubah.
He was shot alongside a companion said to be in his twenties. Abdul was confirmed death upon arrival at the Tubah District Hospital in Bambui.
His companion who received several gun shots was still alive. He was evacuated to the Bamenda Regional Hospital for further medical attention.
Its believed he was shot by non-state armed fighters.

Today, which is observed internationally as Labour Day was largely observed in Bamenda and most of the Northwest as a ghost town.
The month of May is usually a deadly month in the Northwest region in particular with the celebration of the National Day on May 20. This day that celebrates the reunification of the former West and East Cameroon is strongly opposed by those calling for an independent West Cameroon.
Abdu remains were transported to Old Town Bamenda for prayers before burial in keeping with the Moslem religion.
