Parts of the Atogulah Stadium at Ntaafi in the Bamenda I municipality, have been provisionally received. This is notably the dressing rooms and retaining walls, which were constructed by Innovante Construction Company Sarl.
This was during an event on Wednesday August 14, attended by the Mayor of the Bamenda I council, Mbigha Felix, and the representative of the UNDP.
The other phases of the project notably the construction and installation of the Synthetic turf, are still ongoing and carried out by Edge and the ESSOKA Group.
The reception of the first phase gives hope to the population of Bamenda and the Northwest region in general as elite teams havbbe been forced to play home matches away in Mbouda and Bafoussam.
Once the second phase is finished, team PWD of Bamenda, Yong Sport Academy (elite one) and Foncha Street FC and Bafmeng United (Elite two) will use the ground for home games. It will also act as a theatre for football in the region which lacks modern sporting infrastructure.
