Former Captain of the Indomitable Lions Rigobert Song has sent FECAFOOT’s president Samuel Eto’o an open letter encouraging him to stand firm in the midst of setback, in what he describes as an effort to restore the glory of Cameroon’s football.
In a message published publicly on his official Facebook account on Thursday September 17th 2026, Song wrote in French “My dear brother, the path you have chosen to give back to Cameroonian football will be fraught with obstacles, and I know how heavy the burden is at this very moment.
But never forget who you are: an exceptional competitor, a leader who has never backed down in the face of adversity. In the face of current criticism and trials, remain strong and dignified. The real battles are never easy, but the determination that drives you will ultimately triumph.
We have shared so many battles on the field for the colors of our country, and it is this same solidarity that binds us today.
I am fully behind you, my brother. Strength, courage, and resilience. As we have always said: “Indomptables we were born, Indomptables we will remain”
