Bamenda residents are looking forward to the resumption of normal activities tomorrow, Saturday, following the end of the current lockdown today, Friday, September 11.
As is usually the case, Saturday and Sunday are expected to be free of the imposed lockdown, allowing businesses, transport and other activities to operate normally. The regular Monday lockdown is then expected to resume next week.
However, uncertainty remains among residents over whether the current lockdown could be extended beyond the weekend, following the confusion surrounding its announcement.
For now, inhabitants are hoping that today indeed marks the end of the current shutdown and that Bamenda will return to normal activities tomorrow.
