The University of Bamenda UBa joined the rest of the world to observe the 2024 Common Wealth day on April 12, with activities held in the amphi 340.
The activities were presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Theresa Nkuo-Akenji, represented by Professor Suh Cho Emmanuel, deputy vice Chancello with the theme “One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common wealth”
Activities commemorating the day included a brief march past around the university by students, with flags of all Common Wealth countries on display.
Other activities included a debate and roundtable discussion, on the theme of the day.
The king’s speech to the commonwealth member states was also replayed.
