BAMENDA, NOVEMBER 4, 2026 – Residents of Mile 3, Nkwen, in Bamenda, have been left in shock and fear following the discovery of the decomposing body of a woman identified as Blandine, under disturbing circumstances.
The corpse was reportedly discovered today, Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in an advanced state of decomposition and without clothing. Preliminary accounts indicate that the victim’s throat had been slit, while some of her private body parts were reportedly missing.
There are also suspicions that Blandine may have been sexually assaulted before being killed, although this has not been independently established.
According to information gathered, Blandine, is a mother of two and hails from Nso in the North West Region. She was last seen on Friday, October 30, 2026. Her whereabouts between the time she was last seen and the discovery of her body remain unclear.
The identity of those responsible for the gruesome killing is yet to be established, and the circumstances surrounding her death remain shrouded in mystery.
The tragic discovery comes amid growing security concerns in Nkwen and other parts of Bamenda, where the ongoing Anglophone crisis continues to expose residents to heightened insecurity, fear and uncertainty.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about the safety of women and other vulnerable members of the community.
