The Christian Women Fellowship of Mezam Presbytery converged at the PC Bujong School Field Sunday. November 24, to take part in the 2024 Annual Rally. 21 groups took part in the rally including Mbuh and Akwena prayer cells.
The Rev. Ngwa Hosea, Presbyterial Secretary for Mezam in his sermon during the divine service called on the women to be alert in all that they do. Drawing inspiration from the gospel of Luke 21:36-38 he said “being alert means to be watchful, to be awake and ready for what may happen,…from falling into doubtful habit”.
He cautioned all to be watchful about their faith being carried away by the drama around us. He added that our faith should not be depended on the faith or activities of others but instead we should be focused on building our faith with God rather than on humans and to refrain from judging others. Using the example of a married woman, he warned if she is not focus and determine she may be divorced
The divined service also witnessed the dedication of the elected CWF Presbytery Exco lead by Ma Tam Prisca.
Earlier the women had taken written and oral Bible quiz, presented farm produce, processed food and locally made detergents at group levels and took part in a liturgical March pass before the divine service.
The second part of the rally was devoted to fund raising and liturgical singing by all the groups in the Presbytery. 21 groups divided into three levels depending on their performances in the previous rally participated in the singing begining with CWF Menteh and concluding with the host group, CWF Bujong.
