City Web has received information that the Legion Commander of the North West Gendarmerie Légion is no more.
Colonel Zambo Nguema Etienne Celestine according to the source reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained in a fatal collision between his vehicle and a truck that lost control on the New Road, near the Small Cattle Market. .
Details of the accident are still sketchy, but out source said his vehicle was rammed over by a truck that was deciding into Nkwen.
Heavy duty truck traffic into Bamenda from the South is directed towards the New Road at the level of the Governor’s junction.
Colonel Zambo was appointed by Presidential Decree number 2024/063 of the 13th March 2024.
