in a rare occurrence, husband and wife, Chief Dr Ndang Keneth N. and Mafor Dr. Bayire espouse Ndang (popularly known as the Kendellys) both received an award for outstanding performance in the Department of Engineering and Project Management respectively from the Global University USA.
The couple received the distinguished awards during the 19th edition of the PHD convocation ceremony on November 29, 2024.
The Vice Chancellor and the President of Global University were surprised to learn just before the convocation that the two were a couple. He happily informed the audience that the International Award of excellence to the couple was clear evidence of hard work.
He adviced that they should “Fit yourself into contemporary society. PHD, is not the number of books you write anymore. It is the type of leadership you practice. Contextual leadership and Contemporary leadership. Always put yourselves in the position of a Leader, not Boss.
“That will make you to lead your workers or those working with you to have a comfortable working environment” he added.
He described Dr. Ndang Kenneth PHD research as “windblown in the field of studies in engineering and project management “ emphasizing that “a lot of young people will continue to practice and benefit from your research”
The Kendellys own one of the leading construction Company in Cameroon known as Kendelly (a combination of their names) Construction. And Kendelly Quarry.
The Kendellys have also being ploughing back onto the community and are great philanthropist. They have help build churches, take care of widows and orphans and other under privilege groups, awarding scholarships, empowering youths economically, pro IDing portable water through bore constructions to under privileged communities, assisting victims of disasters like the Bamenda Main Market fire and more.
Mr and Mrs Chief Dr. Ndang are married for over 30 years today and have as their main hobby, assisting the underprivileged in society .
