Owner of a popular snack bar at way in Nkwen park Bamenda popularly called Pa Binam has been shot to dead by armed men who stormed his BINAM SNACK at about 7pm this evening.
A customer who was drinking at the snack narrated to that “We were inside drinking when we heard gunshots outside. We kept calm but when we heard shooting for the second time, we ran inside the toilet of the place. I had to cross over Pa Binam who was lying in his own pool of blood to escape when they left”.
The customer further revealed that ” we were more than 18 of us in one small toilet, we tried to break it to escape but didn’t succeed, so we quickly threw the bottles of drinks we held”
” Those who ran into the bar and abandon their personal gadgets like phones and other personal effects said they met everything intact when they came back out after the armed men had left, so i think they came for him. He was picking bottles outside when we heard the first gunshot “
The victim who was rushed to the Nkwen Baptist hospital later succumbed to his injuries
The motive behind the attack is not yet known to us but similar attacks have been carried out in many drinking parlors in Bamenda , capital city of the North West region of #Cameroon by suspected separatist fighters.
